Current Conditions:
Elsa has been downgraded to a tropical storm moving toward the west-northwest. Elsa is predicted to bring heavy rainfall to our area Monday and Tuesday. LWDD offices will be closed on Monday, July 5 but Storm Teams will be monitoring conditions. Flooding issues can be reported to the Storm Team at the contacts below.

Instructions:
Community emergency discharge control structures should be closed.

More Information:
Check storm drains and swale areas and clear any debris that may slow or block the flow of water away from homes. With heavy rainfall, expect roadways and low-lying areas to flood as these areas act as secondary detention areas. Do not drive or walk-through flooded streets. Monitor local news for updates.

Current Conditions:
Elsa has strengthened into a hurricane with sustained
winds of 75mph. Elsa is moving toward the west-northwest
at 28 mph. This motion is expected to
continue during the next couple of days. Some models
show Elsa with a potential track northward over the
Florida Peninsula or just to the east of the State by late
Sunday night however, it is too early to predict with
certainty the direction or intensity of the storm.

Instructions:
Community emergency discharge control structures
should be closed and remain closed throughout the
weekend. If conditions change additional instructions
will be send.
