The Lake Worth Drainage District provides services to an estimated 800,000 residents with an annual operating budget of approximately $16.4 million for the year ending September 30, 2024.  The District’s fiscal year begins October 1 and ends September 30 of the following year.  Generally, the budget process begins in March of each year and the budget is approved by the Board of Supervisors in its final form by the end of September of the same year.

The annual operating budget is supported by a non-ad valorem assessment which is assessed at $49.50 per acre or portion thereof. The annual assessment is reflected in the Palm Beach County property tax statements for landowners within the District’s jurisdictional boundaries.

Questions regarding the accuracy and identification of lands within the District’s boundaries should be directed to our office at 561-498-5363. All other questions regarding your property tax statement, other assessments, or payment schedules should be directed to PBC Tax Collector at https://www.pbctax.com/contact-us/property-tax/

As required by Chapter 218, Florida Statutes, the Lake Worth Drainage District submits an annual financial report to the Department of Financial Services.  For more information on local government financial reporting, visit the Department of Financial Services at https://apps.fldfs.com/localgov/reports/default.aspx
